A stucco plan includes the details around the wall.
A Peyton exterior proposal included access around fixtures and the perimeter, protection of nearby surfaces and a separate trim-painting plan.
Adapted from an actual Carroll Painting proposal. Names, addresses and prices are omitted. This account explains proposed work, not a completed project or a homeowner testimonial.
The starting point
The coating was one part of a wider scope.
This Peyton 80831 proposal paired a stucco-coating plan with trim painting. Its preparation section addressed the wall surface and the items around it.
Washing and repairs to damaged stucco were described before coating. The scope also called for removing reasonably detachable items that could obstruct access, including downspouts, carriage lights and other hardware.
The documented details
Access and protection were written into the plan.
The proposal specified moving loose soil, mulch and gravel back around the home perimeter to a depth of approximately two inches. That was a stated step in this particular proposal, not a universal instruction for every home.
It also described masking and protecting adjacent surfaces and features not intended for coating, including windows, doors, fixtures, landscaping and nearby surfaces.
Trim had its own preparation and painting description. The stucco section specified two coats of elastomeric coating applied by spray and backroll, while trim methods would depend on the project.
The Carroll approach
Ask how the surrounding details will be handled.
The value of this proposal was its attention to access, protection and the distinction between stucco and trim work. Those details let a homeowner discuss what needs to be moved and what remains protected.
Cleanup and a final walkthrough were proposed parts of the process. This page explains the written plan; it does not show a completed coating job or claim a particular performance result.
A useful walkthrough should connect the surface treatment to the practical details around the home, with any changes reflected in the agreed scope.
Bring this question to your walkthrough.
Which fixtures can be moved, how will the perimeter be accessed, and how will nearby surfaces and landscaping be protected?
